John Bachar was born on 1957 in Los Angeles, California; he was an “American Rock Climber” who had a talent of climbing without any rope or free soling to unparalleled levels. John Bachar began climbing at Stoney Point; he was dropped from UCLA where his father was professor of math because to climbing full time. Preoccupied with the sport, John Bachar engrossed himself in books on physical training and nourishment and quickly he was capable to go one better than his fellow climbers. In 1970s John Bachar met with John Long who shared his physical training with John Bachar and persuaded him to try free soiling. From then John Bachar started soiling, though it was his hobby too.
John Bachar lived in Mammoth Lakes, California, he was the Director and Designed of “Acopa International LLC” (a company which manufactures rock climbing shoes). On 13th of August, 2006, it was probably midnight near the Nevada state line, John Bachar, his girlfriend Anastasia and Steve Karafa (President of Acopa) were concerned in a car accident on their way to home from the trade show. Anastasia suffered slight injuries, Steve Karafa died at the spot and John was taken to a hospital in Utah. John Bachar suffered 5 fractured vertebrae. Luckily with the passage of time he recovered from the sufferings and joined his profession once again.
But unfortunately John Buchar could not carry on his career furthermore and died on 5th of July, 2009. Several friends of John Bachar have confirmed the death in a Free Solo Accident at Dike Wall near Bishop, CA.
