If climbers climb as team, what is the responsibility of each member and the responsibility of the more experienced member?  The team relies more on the senior member for safety and decision making.  

Recently I was horrified by the unscrupulous judgement made by one so-called "seasoned climber".  Let us say people are different. Some are lucky; some are unlucky.   Some has high standards and meticulous.  Some refuses to be criticized.  

When you sign on a trip, has selected your partner, you have made a conscious decision to ensure your own safety and your partner's.    What is the responsibility of the senior member? Do you trust your partner?  Do you trust his judgement?  Do you love him?  Is he trustworthy?  Is he your people?
